PANCAKE SYRUP RECIPE

photo(14)

I have told you how to make chocolate syrup, but today we are going to make some cinnamony liquid sugar to pour all over waffles or pancakes.  This is super easy to make and taste so much better than plain old pancake syrup.

Here is what you will need:

1 1/2 cups water

1 cup corn syrup

1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp cinnamon (this is optional, but I wouldn’t leave it out 🙂 )

Measure out all your ingredients, except vanilla, and dump in a pot and mix well.

Bring all the ingredients to a boil, and let boil for 7 minutes on medium heat.  Removed from heat and stir in vanilla.  Cool for 15 minutes.

Pour over a ridiculously large stack of waffles, and ENJOY!!!

This makes 24 ounces of syrup and cost about $1.50.
